Have I ever mentioned one of the great pros of being in a relationship with another woman? Although I suppose the same would hold true for being a relationship with another man...
When dealing with bills, various accounts, doctors etc, we can pretend to be one another.
Today, I went through the ever growing, never ceasing pile of papers on the counter. I encountered several bills that needed to dealt with, dare I say, immediately. It's under my job description as homemaker to deal with these things and I had been neglecting my duties-
I called up the folks, gave my assumed name, SSN, password, birthdate, mother's maiden name- the works. And was promptly allowed in to deal with it. I love that.

I agree! That's the best!
Now if I could just increase my interest in taking care of that stuff! Ugh!
psst...don't tell my partner "paying the bills and handling mail" is the homemakers job! It would never get done. Im so busy as it is I couldnt imagine having all of that on top of the kids...how DO you do it!
However I totally get what you are saying as Shana handles all of my "stuff" as "me" on a regular basis.
When my partner, Jenn, had a bicycle accident a few months ago, she was completely incapable of managing her appointments, follow-up care, and medical bills. All of her energy went to rest and healing, which meant I did all that other stuff. I don't know what I would've done had I been "found out" impostering her on dozens of phone calls. Definitely a perk!!
I do exactly that all the time! The only time it doesn't work is when we each need to do the same thing and I don't want to wait for a call tree twice. I will do my account then be like, "hey, can I do my partners?" Generally they do almost all of it and say to hand her the phone so I'll say "here's this person. Say you understand and ok." And she does and that's it.
