The Fantasy

There's a book out there called something like 'Nobody Wants to Know What You Had For Lunch: Ideas for Blogging' or something like that. I'm too tired and lazy to look it up. Today, I'm thinking that nobody wants to hear which of my kids is sick and with what. It's been a long week, and it just keeps on coming.

So, the fantasy is that K gets home from work rested and refreshed ( not likely, since she was also up 4 times last night with the thrashing whining and crying child twice, the puking child once and the nightmare child who remained on her chest from 4-6 am- 3 different children), makes something splendid for dinner with a pitcher of margaritas (or maybe gin and limeade) on the side and then puts me into bed, uhmmm, shall we say, lovingly... And then tomorrow, after 8- 10 hours of sleep, nobody's sick.

It ain't gonna happen, but I wish it would.

Cuz, you know we have eight kids running around and we're both tired...

Well I care to know. I like knowing details of other peoples non-glamorous lives, its makes my life feel normal and it keeps me sane. I think the fact that so many mommy blogs ice the cake daily makes them somehow seem super human and leaves many feeling isolated and wondering why they cant get it together when so many others can and do. Aw well Im sure your point was that you can come up with many more intresting blog posts than just which sick puked on you at 2am, maybe that makes you much more than just a "mommy" blogger. I would like to move to the other side sometime...but for now they consume me--and I have half as many as you!

I'm sorry to hear that sickness has attacked one of your kids. I'm still trying to get over a cold myself. NO fun at all. It's hard to be mom when all I want to do is cry to my own mother. :) Thanks for stopping by my blog. It's very nice to meet you (if only virtually). :D

The fantasy is delicious...especially with all the sick. If you were to do some stat search on my blog, I'm not sure which word would show up most frequently, 'puke' or 'diarhhea'! This is life. Lay it on us! We've all been there, sometimes for weeks on end, like you...but few of us with so many gorgeous little mouths to feed and souls to love as you. Peace.
